Dog Gone Smart Pet Products continues to be the preeminent nanotechnology-based pet products company in the world. Today, no other pet product company offers its customers the extensive nanotechnology benefits, superior product quality and innovation, classic consumer designs, and bacteria reducing capabilities.
With this incredible success comes ‘me-too’ or look-alike pet products that claim to have the exact same benefits and properties of
Dog Gone Smart Pet Products. Please, beware of imitations and fakes, which may be potentially harmful products! These ‘so called’ nanotechnology-based products do not meet the rigorous and stringent environmental, quality and durability standards that
Dog Gone Smart Pet Products meets. Our quality and durability standards, and the materials being used to manufacture our pet products (fill, fabric, zippers, sewing, craftsmanship), are also unsurpassed. See and feel the difference of our genuine and authentic pet products!
According to the internationally renowned Hohenstein Research Institute in Germany, NanoSphere® – the Schoeller® technology we use for our pet products – was the first nanotechnology fabric finish to pass all in-line tests.
Dog Gone Smart® have seen ‘knock-offs” that even try to copy our company logo! If the logo doesn’t look like the one above, it is not a Dog Gone Smart pet product!
We are flattered by such obvious copying, but urge you not to be fooled and to remember that the unique benefits of our certified nanotechnology treated products cannot be found anywhere else in the global pet product marketplace. It is important to note that we are taking appropriate actions against such companies to ensure that we retain our brand integrity.
*Stay Clean Naturally. Dog Gone Smart Pet Products are manufactured with certified and patented NanoSphere® fabric finish technology that repels coat oil, water, liquids, and stains
*Meet Rigorous Global Environmental Standards for Safety. NanoSphere® components comply with the “bluesign®” standard which is based on the world’s strictest EHS (environment, health and safety) stipulations for textiles and examines all the relevant components from the very beginning of the manufacturing process.
*Safe Technology. Dog Gone Smart products includes NanoSphere®, which is not only PFOA-free* (perfluorooctanoic acids), but also PFOS free (perfluorooctane sulfonate). In 2006, the Science Advisory Board of the EPA labeled PFOA a likely human carcinogen, and according to a recent European Food Safety Authority Study, PFOA and PFOS have been linked to liver and thyroid cancer in rats. Because of concerns about toxicity, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency received commitments from eight manufacturers of PFOA to reduce emissions and usage of PFOA and related chemicals by 95 percent in 2011, and to move toward eliminating usage of the chemicals completely by 2015. New legislation came into force in the European Union on June 27, 2008 regulating the marketing and use of PFOS in all member states. It restricts permissible levels of PFOS in textiles or other coated materials to below one microgram per square meter (or to 1 ppm). We are not aware of any other nanotechnology-based fabric finish competitor that claims its products are both PFOA-free and PFOS-free. *below limit of detection.
*Long Lasting. Our products last longer as they need washing less frequently thanks to NanoSphere®. NanoSphere® sheds dirt, stains, water and oil and lasts for up to 50 washings (this equates to 4 years of effectiveness if you wash your pet bed once a month).
*Abrasion Resistance. Dogs have been known to scratch and chew their beds and blankets, but this is much less of an issue with Dog Gone Smart pet products. Our superior abrasion resistance of the repellent effect, thanks to NanoSphere®, is up to 10 times greater than other similar products.
*Healthy Hypoallergenic Pet Products. We believe our products are the only pet products on the market today that include a non-silver-based bacteriostatic, a proprietary technology that inhibits the spread of bacteria that can cause ‘doggy’ odor, which is better for the environment and safer for your pet.
Global demand for our pet products continues to grow exponentially. In addition to new product introductions, we have also worked diligently to consistently expand our global distribution network and build market share. Dog Gone Smart pet products are now sold in more than 33 countries on six continents through distributors, retailers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Over the past year, Dog Gone Smart has debuted several new dog beds, apparel, collars, leashes and harnesses. This year, in addition to expanding the bed lines to include new styles and pricing, I am delighted to announce in innovative new line of leashes, collars, and harnesses, a new fur-collared windproof and waterproof dog jacket, and the debut of our new Horse Wear line including saddle pads, turnout sheets, and blankets.
In 2011, our primary goal is to continue to reinforce our market leadership and reputation as the industry leader and innovator of nanotechnology-based pet products around the world, build our market share into other countries and continents, and expand our product offering beyond our current portfolio of signature pet beds, apparel and horse wear.
